Action scene in Epping Forest
This is the most ridiculous action scene. After getting killed off 20 times, I finally made progress way into the forest. But after 15 minutes of running, I was finally killed off again. There was no skip button or esc. I had to manually shut down my computer to end this frustration and agony Any tips or hints would be appreciated before I shoot myself!!

idk why people say its so hard, i got it on my first try

here are some tips

1- the cover doesn't work, you manually have to press the button to go behind the rocks not to get shot, not just go behind it

2- take cover as often as possible, dont try to skip any of them

good luck
I agree this is rediculous, the format of this game is nothing like crimes and punishment ,I regret buying this garbage ..

As opposed to The Shadow Commander above, I found the following useful...

Run. Run as much as possible, and when the line shows up on screen that the shot is about to hit Holmes, dodge quickly to either side and the bullet will miss... this puts much more distance between you and the shooter. If you hide behind cover, the shooter starts closing distance quickly. Wait until your breathing is getting really heavy and the stamina bar is almost drained..THEN duck into cover and wait for his stamina to recharge. This way, you start off running with the shooter much further away from you. If you wait in cover all the time, he keeps closing the distance down to nothing. It works at first, for a few times, but then he's just too close near the end of the run to get away. Just try to run as much as possible. Much easier for me than doing it the other way suggested above.

Hello! How can I skip this hunt in Epping Forest? I'm a pensioner, and this is too much for me.

you can't skip

Farewell Frogwares - wherever you are - I don't think our paths will cross again. Maybe I'll wonder how the other cases were, but I'll get over it.

You can't skip the forest. But you can give us your save and we will pass it for you. :gallente:

THAT'S pretty cool. I would've been tempted last week when fighting that level to let you do just that. Glad I figured out the easy solution though. There is a bit of a reward for figuring stuff out on my own. Still, it was an aggravating segment.

I understand the reason for Frogwares to go the console/more action route for modern gamers,it now a glorified interactie novel rather than a puzzle/adventure games the older titles were.

I just think they have gone a step to far IMO, for older gamers.who like slower paced games.

I played a couple of chapters and became frustrated and decided to bin it. There should be the facility to skip skip skip which they never thought about including They have lost they way with this game no more Frogwares games for me and I have purchased every one they published.

Same here, except I will buying them more cautiously in the future instead of on-first-sight like previously.

Every game mate I pre-purchased ,helped others with their issues ,as best as I could ,but I have totally given up on this game,I am annoyed with not being able to skip and move on ..oh well I guess I am not as intelligent as some others ,and they never consider the fact that some people may have disabilitieswith movements ,and have to take some scenes slowly ..

What about emailing the above guy Tanidar and then waiting for them to pass it for you? You could play something else in the meantime.. At least it's a solution.
