Cannot continue playing due to glitch.

In case 4 when I access the sewer ladder under the carpet the screen fades to black and, well that is it. Screen remains black and I hear the floor creaking. I cannot access the menu or do anything else except force quit the game. Also note that the first time I attemted to access the sewers I feel right through the floor when I walked onto the carpet.

Same problem here! Black screen. Also fell through floor in the first time.
Restart case - this is not an acceptable solution for me!

When I restarted the case, the glitch was gone. still not a good solution, but it worked.
