Look on the glue on the piece of paper in the jacket, then you may enter the pub if that is what you missed;)

I think you missed a clue at his house, then you need to eaves drop every conversation until it makes sense to sit on the stool and listen to the dude by the windoq

I'm also stuck in this first case. It seems I did everything, but anyway when I got to that pub from the poster, Sherlock says I'm not thirsty right now :( I googled, watched youtube, but nothing helps. I think it's might be a bug. Will try to delete saves and try again...

HI, I was suffering the same, after two times repiting the scene, I worked it out ... you must to turn back the leaflet and press it on the back side to take it, after that talk with the lad, then you can go inside the pub...

I think zounds actually gave you the answer when he said you needed to check what was in the coat pocket and turn it around. You have to rotate it and then click on it, then sherlock will speak and you will own that piece of evidence after that. If you have not done it, you also need to click multiple times on the bills on the table with the picture of the mother of the boy. I spent two hours running around like a headless chicken in the town trying to talk to someone, but basically if you wantr to go further in the game you have to MAKE SURE YOU COLLECT THE EVIDENCE. Then you will be able to move on/progress in the game.

Thanks! I spent way too long looking around not realizing I needed to inspect the glue on back of ticket. Off to the pub now! Sherlock has been saying he is not thirsty but I know that is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lie, time to get my pint on!

♥♥♥♥. I hope the rest of the game isn't like this... There is no way the glue on the back of the poster was critical to the plot. A little more malleable progression would be nice...

You have to turn the notice in the coat pocket around and scan the glue spot. Once you do that he pockets the notice and you've completed the room and can go to the pub.
