Is this worth playing for the story aspect?
I'm a huge fan of story-driven games, but not really much acquainted with the world of Sherlock Holmes (may have read some novels when I was younger, that's about it).

Would you recommend the game to a person like me?

Does the game have any/many point-and-click or "hidden object" sections?

A similar game perhaps that I had played and enjoyed was Murdered: Soul Suspect. Is this anything like that?

Thanks!

It's a bit of an environment explorer. You move around an environment looking for clues that are usually easy to find, because they're lit up by a cursor, and have dialog with other characters to get information about a case. Then you try to draw conclusions from the clues and information you've collected. It is fairly story-driven, and they do a much better job of making a kind of detective who-done-it story than other studios that just throw up their arms and make hidden object games. There are a few action dirven segments and puzzle driven mini-games. Some of the previous games in the series had elaborate puzzle-lock boxes or random Professor Layton style puzzles for puzzles sake. This game tries to blend the puzzles into the plot better, but at the cost of some of the more interesting puzzles.

"Hound of the Baskervilles" is the only Frogwares (well... Frogwares affiliated) Sherlock Homes game with hidden object sections, unless some of the earlier games I haven't gotten to have some. And even that wasn't too terrible.

Now that the game is on sale, I hope I can get some more feedback here!

I finished the game a couple of days ago and had time to let it stew in my head.

If you like story-driven games, then yes, this is definitely the game for you. That being said, there are mini-games and QTEs in the game which can grate a bit, but depending on your difficulty setting, those can be skipped without missing anything important. On some occasions you have to dress up Holmes in appropriate clothes and masks (true story, I managed to make him look like Walter White from Breaking Bad:steamhappy:)

I don't want to spoil too much about the story itself, because IMO this game has one perfect what-the-actual-hell-ending (that I also found very, very, very creepy and haunting... if a bit clichéd).
