Is the game locked to 30FPS or not?
Some say it is, some say its not, what is the story?

Even if performance is pants and it needs a patch or 3, as long as its not hard coded locked to 30 then thats my main concern out of the way.

it even says on the store page, "amazingly smooth gameplay at a high frame rate"

And im sure they know that 30FPS is not classed as high.

Nope, it's not locked. However the Vsync option will affect how your FPS is capped.

If it's like dynasty warriors, VSYNC 0 is disabled but 60 fps capped, VSYNC 1 is on but 60fps capped and VSYNC 2 is on but 30fps capped.

You need a pretty powerful PC to reach 60 though since my own powerful PC has difficulty maintaining 60fps( hit 49~50fps average) with all high settings with the benchmark @ 1920x1200 resolution. Medium settings it increases to 55fps average and finally at low settings, it's always at 60fps.

But gameplay wise you won't notice any difference...

Cheers for the info, I have Titan X so i guess we can see how that works I rarely use VSYNC tbh, the game might suffer from a VRAM memory leak like CoD:AW using about 7.5GB Video memory, guess theres only one way to find out.
Just to confirm, 60FPS works without VSYNC highest settings on Titan X not played it for long as i need to sleep but seems to be solid, Then again everyone should expect Titan X to run it and even so i dont see why mid range cards should struggle with the game tbh, Should not that intensive for what it is.

Yes and no. There's no FPS lock, but my GTX 760 + FX 8320 was averaging 35 FPS in the benchmarking. Unless you have a high end PC, don't even think about reaching the 60 FPS.
