How Cropdeck did on announcement (and some progress update)

First, a huge thank you to everyone who has wishlisted or shared my game! It has been an incredible two weeks since the Steam page launch, and I truly appreciate all your support.

🚜 First 291 Wishlists!

It may seem like an odd number (well, it literally is!), but 291 is how many gamers have wishlisted Cropdeck in its first two weeks on Steam! I’m so happy that you're interested in my game! This is my first solo project, and every wishlist, like, and comment means the world to me. 🙏

🌙 Steam Festival

I’m excited to announce that Cropdeck is part of The Days of Ramadan Festival 2025 on Steam! There are so many amazing new and upcoming games from Southeast Asia and beyond—including mine!

If you love cozy games and deckbuilders like me, you’ll find plenty of wonderful creations to explore. There are a lot of other categories too. Go check them out!

This is my first-ever Steam festival, and I’m sorry there’s no demo yet—but please be patient! I’m working hard to release the first playable demo in the coming months. If you don’t want to miss it, follow me on Bluesky[bsky.app], X[x.com], or Threads[www.threads.net] for updates.

🎨 Back to Work!!

The last two months were super busy for me, so I couldn’t focus as much on the game itself. Between setting up my Steam developer account, preparing the Steam page and marketing materials, taking a short holiday, going on a mountain trip, aaand fighting the flu (I’m all good now!)—a lot was happening.

But now, I’m back and fully committed to Cropdeck!

I’ve started by updating the UI, especially the calendar and card feel. Scarecrows are now displayed above the fields, making them more visible and better connected to the game world. You can clearly see their effects now, and along with regular cards, they feel more alive thanks to subtle animations and mouse pointer interactions.

The calendar has been completely reworked. It used to be a large widget that didn’t provide much useful info. Now, it works more like a progress bar, similar to those in other roguelike games. It sits at the top of the screen, giving you hints about upcoming events and weather conditions.

Speaking of weather... I’ve started working on the weather system! You’ll soon be able to plan your watering better by checking if rain is coming. Natural hazards (like the storms and ice cubes you saw in the trailer) will be part of this system too.

I Made It to Steam!

Dear farmers and roguelite enthusiasts, welcome!

Hi, I’m Piotrek! For the past few months, I’ve been hard at work on my first solo game. Today is the day my project finally sees the light of day. With pride and excitement, I present to you Cropdeck!

In this farming roguelite deckbuilder, you’ll take on the tough challenge of crafting the ultimate deck of crops, growing and nurturing them to achieve success, grow your wealth and… pay rent to Sir Landlord? A farmer’s work is never done! You’ll collect a variety of cards, explore multiple worlds with unique mechanics and rely on special cards - Scarecrows! Use their powerful abilities and passives to take your farming to the next level.

Plans for the Future

I’m beyond excited to finally share the beginning of my game’s journey. Despite the effort and time I’ve already invested, this is just the start of the story. There’s still plenty to do before the project is complete. My goal is to deliver not just a polished product, but a game that will bring you hours of fun and creative gameplay.

Without giving away too much, here’s what you can expect in the future:

Dozens of unique Scarecrows, each offering synergies I can’t wait for you to discover.
A wide variety of crops that allow you to experiment and adapt your strategy to the challenges of each level.
Challenging hazards that will test your strategy and keep the gameplay engaging.
Full Steam Deck and controller support, so you can play however and wherever you like.

In the coming weeks, I’ll share more details about Cropdeck and its mechanics. For now, I encourage you to wishlist and follow the game on Steam.
