FYI: it's not just Mini Ninjas... other few games seem affected probably using the same buggy assets code.
EDIT:
May be useful for others. Here are the DEV ID I've had to remap/temporary disable:
USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&REV_0023&MI_00
USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&REV_0023&MI_01
USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&REV_0023&MI_02
Windows 10 x64, ASUS G751JY.
To remap them open one by one and under "Driver" tab select "Update driver".
Then choose to find them MANUALLY on your computer... uncheck "Show compatible hardware"... and force "HID compliant generic device" for them.
P.S.
I'm not responsible, of course, for any damage you can do to your configuration ;)
It also worked for me disabling this HID device only:
HW ID: HID\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&REV_0023&MI_01&Col03
Windows 10 x64, ASUS G751JY.
Shame on Eidos though
...Another definitive solution for me:
forcing USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&REV_0023&MI_01&Col03 (node: Human Interface Devices = HID-compliant consumer control device) as a generic 'HID Infrared device'.
This will add a new device under HID node for me but I won't loose anything (!).
Windows 10 x64, ASUS G751JY.
EDIT:
Became HID\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01&COL03\7&18A20B22&0&0002
(HID-compliant consumer control device) under Windows 10 Anniversary Update 1607. Once disabled lags vanished.
EDIT2:
Windows 10 x64 FCU 1709 (16299.98), ASUS G751JY
- Disabled first "HID-compliant vendor-defined device: HID\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01&COL03" (ignore reboot request)
- Forced from "USB Input Device" to "HID-compliant device" the "USB Input Device: USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01&Col03"
system forced me to reboot, and then whole HID and USB devices at node VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01 totally disappeared from Device Manager! No more input lags and everything including custom laptop ASUS keys still perfectly working as usual.EDIT3:
After upgrading from Win 10 1709 to 1803, the issue came back and HID devices settings changed again. Here is how I solved this time:
Windows 10 x64 1803 (17134.1), ASUS G751JY
- Disabled first "HID compliant consumer control device: HID\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01&COL03" (ignore reboot request)
- Forced from "USB Input Device" to "HID-compliant device" the "USB Input Device: USB\VID_0B05&PID_17FD&MI_01"
rebooted, and then again both HID and USB input devices totally disappeared from Device Manager.P.S.:
Please, make a backup of your C: partition before playing with these (there are excellent backup tools for free like Macrium Reflect Free). And create a System Restore point too. I'm not responsible for any BSOD after reboot or damage following this guide.
Thank you so much for the fix !!!
reinstall dx10 drivers
if you have windows 10 overide the dpi in the properties to the application where the game is installed,
if you need steam launch commands:
-high -novid -nointro -nopause -refresh 80 -freq 60 -lowmemory -USEALLAVAILABLECORES -maloc=system -d3d10 -dxlevel 80 -dx10 -cpucount 4 -threads 4 -sm4 -maxmem 7585
-nod3d9ex1
if you have 16GB: -maxmem 15000 and or -heapsize: 15000000
download system explorer, set the process priority to realtime or if you have amd overdrive do the same in the smart profiles settings
if you can overclock your GPU only set it to 260 to 290 intervals higher than the base default clock
-for example I set my core clock from 800 to 967
make sure to check your drivers and install the latest ones for the GPU
go to advanced system settings:
in the top, in user variables click new, type in the top:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\game folder
and below type:
4000_Mbps
clean your pc with either ccleaner or avg pc tune up, or system mechanic
defragment the hard drive
after Windows 10 1803 upgrade.
I think I'll play it one day, on another PC with compatible motherboard, sigh...
It doesn't like my Motherboard Chipset: Intel HM87 (Lynx Point)
