1). Uncensored version was used for game trailers, so marketing materials. For example this one (1:30) https://youtu.be/LvP_1y_V0es?t=90
2). PS5 disc version is still uncensored. All you need to do is play offline and do not allow game for patch.
So talking about the outfits are as originally intended in day 1 patch is obvious a lie. Its damage control. Perhaps enforced by sony.
At this point I suggest you hear what Goichi Suda CEO of Grasshopper Manufacture and director of Lollipop Chainsaw and Kenichiro Takaki producer of Senran Kagura have to say about cooperation with sony.
This censorship doesn't make sense because game have more skimpy costumes than this censored. But stupidity and pointless of this action doesn't change fact there was censorship.
And nothing compensate censored blood.
Not 2, but at least 6.
Different versions are not just recolors. Overall still cover more skin than uncensored versions.
You have the consistency of wet clay, I hope you know that, please dry out and take a firm stand for or against censorship, you can't play both sides with this because both censorship types lead into each other, they cause the other to happen inevitably.
Mods will fix all your problems. Probably give you a fix too.
The whole 'censoring' was probably on the insistence of Sony, to make it more customer friendly. If we take a look over to their Gacha game, Nikke: Goddess of Victory, there isn't much censoring happening.
So I don't think it'll be censored. And even if it will be enforced by Valve, there will most likely be an official patch will restore content, like with many other more adult themed games.
Now, it is true that mods can fix it, and it's also true more risque costumes were added later. But contrary to the implications of the pro-censorship crowd, for many of us it's not really about having the most risque costumes possible, but the principle that censorship should never suppress the creators' vision and artistic design. For me personally, I despise censorship in any form. That's the intellectual side. But what may grate on me even more viscerally is how badly it was done - several costumes look like they just pasted random stuff over the areas Sony probably told them to censor. There is no way anything that ugly or out of place was "the original vision." Overall Stellar Blade is still a breath of fresh air and I want to support them, but several of the costumes were just ruined by how stupid they look now.
I fell on the side of thinking that the game is a breath of fresh air in an age of censorship, despite the minor changes, and will support with my money. But I really wish they would be the ones to fix it and honor what they claimed about ZERO censorship... not the modders. No idea and I don't believe there's been any word on whether they'll make it right in the PC version, but my fingers are crossed. Would love to buy here as well!
One can only hope they "forget" that they left that stuff in. Although, someone could also just take the files from a jailbreaked PS5 with un-patched SB installed on it.
