Titan Attacks! is a great game. I am still trying to get all of the achievements. They are very difficult to obtain and require lots of skill.

I've had Droid Assault in my Library for a while now, from an indiscriminate Steam shopping binge.

Mayhaps I should give it another shot?

You definitely should :) Don't expect story, a quiet ride, or in-depth RPG minmaxing though... just blow everything to bits.
