My layout is non-standard and WASD don't work for me. Where can I change this?

It takes more power to run this graphically simple game than it does for a modern FPS. Why is this? Is this likely to change?

First, it is possible the map generator can create a seperate island inaccessable to invade. Seconds, the AI is giving aid to another very small AI despite not needing it. Ignoring my actual need of aid instead. Also kinda kills the performance when it constantly & non-stop gets send to buff an peaceful AI ally to 1000+ growth. Personal thank you pal for this masterpiece . When I got my 2 first achievements for wiped out 75% of neighbor's country I just stuck for 10 seconds... Amazing project!
