Any word on the arcade stick compatability?
I've got a couple of old PS2 controllers lying around. Heck, I even have a 6 button 15th Anniversary Street Fighter Pad, which would be worth trying out.
What converter did you use? This one? http://www.amazon.com/Playstation-Controller-Adapter-Converter-Windows-3/dp/B0096PSFBG/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1433214757&sr=8-10&keywords=playstation+2+to+usb+adapter
I used some huskee PS2 to PC converters, you can use them to conect PS2 joysticks to PS3.
They worked very well, but the Xinput era came and not all games works well with x360ce, so I had to buy two logitech F310 gamepads.
A friend of mine had one of this, and it works well, you can connect two joysticks with one converter.

For these kind of converters you dont need any third software for using them, because the converter has a Dinput driver, but if you want to use with only Xinput games, you should use x360ce so the game "thinks" you have xbox 360 gamepads.
