People who play with a keyboard, what key layout do you use?
I'm using:
A S, Z X = Punch Kick, Slash HeavySlash
Q = Dust

W = P+K+S (tap to Roman Cancel, hold while blocking for Faultless Defense)
E = P+D (Burst)
For Instant Kill, W+X

And C for taunt/respect, D for training dummy jump

(I think the game uses Kick for menu-confirm, HeavySlash for menu-cancel, Select for menu-return)

Arrow keys for movement and:

Z = Punch
A = Kick
X = Slash
S = Hard Slash
Q = PKS
W = All four buttons
D = Dust
C = Taunt I think.

Basically like a sub-Arcade layout.

When I first started playing X2 #reload I set them up almost at random, lol. I didn't really know what I was doing, I just wanted to set them up to something a bit comfortable and start playing. But since then I got accustomed to it and now I can't play with a different configuration... I really tried... although GG is the only game where I use this contorted thing:
W = HS
A = S
S = P
D = K
Q = D
E = taunt
3 = IK mode
Florence Jun 1, 2015 @ 10:35am
Q = Left
W = Down
E = Right
Space = Up

Num7 = P
Num4 = K
Num5 = S
Num 6 = HS
Num 9 = D
Num 8 = Respect

Inverted rainbow layout. It's nonstandard, but it's pretty ergonomic.

I use arrow for movements and ASDF for PKSH. E = dust, C = taunt. I set other keys around it, not really remember.

I want to edit it but not before it got something like imgur.com/mz2FPTI

I totally have no idea which of ABXY L1 L2 LS R1 R2 RS does what lol, too lazy to set things and use them in training to learn what function I just set xD

Weird ass layout coming trough.
I move with O, L, K and Ñ (I think it's ; for english based keyboards) because of key ghosting (wasn't able to faultless defense while crouching).
To attack, I use Q,W,E and 2 for the main buttons and C for dust. That's because I used to play with a PS2 emulator and used WASD but the D key felt in my old PC so I had to move it by one key and got used to it.
Also, I had to put S to P+K+S+HS because of ghosting too.

What would be the most "hitbox" like layout for Guilty Gear in regards to the button config? Curious to see a layout like that to try it out, depsite me playing the series with a controller.

Well, the default keyboard hitbox layout is a,s,d + space for directions (Space being Up ofc), and then jkl; nm,. being your main buttons for attacks, because there's least ghosting between them and asd.

Keep in mind, if your keyboard has no ghosting, you can have more liberty with your layout, but if it's a standard cheap keyboard, know that they tend to handle presses on the same row easier then presses on that are above or below and close together. So try to arrange your attacks in a way that your multi presses tend to be on the same row (you need to experiment a bit and find what works for the things you need to do, it varies from fighting game to fighting game).

WASD - move keys and U H J K I - Punch, Slash, Kick, Hard Slash, Dust, and Space Bar for P K S , for FRC and RC, same in the right side of the keyboard arrows to move and num keys for P S K HS D and 0 num key for cancel moves. 2 players can play easy at the same keyboard.
Moves are with your left hand, same as arcade stick, gamepad. FPS, RPG, games etc. in all you move with your left hand.

Arrows movement
A S D F - P K S SH
W - D
R - Taunt
pretty much mirror to my blazblue setup.

WASD for movement
J = P
U = K
I = S
O = HS
L = D
K = RC macro
9 = IK macro
M = taunt/respect
DrQwertySilence Jun 5, 2015 @ 4:02pm
AWERF = PSKHD
Arrows = Movement

WASD movement and the rest of the keys on Numpad

W - Up
A - Left
S - Down
D - Right

Num1 - Macro 1(RC)
Num3 - Macro 2(IK)
Num4 - Punch
Num5 - Kick
Num6 - HSlash
Num7 - Taunt
Num8 - Slash
Num9 - Dust
Num0 - Start
U T S D L D R P K H M1 M2 START
It's really surprising seeing how many handle directional input with their right hand.

Hi, I'm currently using a Ducky Mini with Cherry MX Reds here on vacation while training for Guilty Gear. My layout is similar to a Hitbox arcade stick if you have seen one. Except with a lot more space between the direction keys and attack keys. So my layout is: A for left, S for down, D for right, and spacebar for up. This is perfect since it makes sense for me as ASD are stafing left and right, but S is a little weirder as it's actually crouch and it's like this for input convenience and Spacebar for jump makes perfect sense for a FPS gamer as well, it's also really easy to do joystick circular motions on it and I can do my bread and butter inputs easily. For quarter circles I just slide from S to D, and for DP motions I do D then let go of it and press S and hold it and press D again. Now for the attack keys, I use J for Punch, I for Kick, O for Slash, P for Heavy Slash, and L for Dust. This fits the arcade layout for my arcade stick. I kept a layout basically conveneient when I would switch controls. I can use a Hitbox, Keyboard, and an Arcade Stick (Arcade Stick is my personal weapon of choice at home) very easily, a controller takes longer to get used to for me though, but still can use it proficiently. I'd recommend something similar to my layout if you plan to enter Guilty Gear tournaments as you can just buy a Hitbox someday and easily adjust to it. Again it's all your preference, but I think it's a huge plus if you can get used to a Hitbox layout.

That's pretty funky and close together on my keyboard. I figured the hitbox layout was a bit more spreadout. Interesting though, I can do 236's easy, but doing the 623 motion is impossible to hit.
