No frames on sides!! How to do it!
Want to share this with those who doesnt like those frames on sides.

In my case I have not any problem with those frames, but I have an "arcade machine" attached to a LCD screen which only supports 1024 x 768 and below resolutions, so I cant play the game on fullscreen and in windowed mode the 1024 x 576 res left two big spaces up and down on the screen killing the "arcade" feeling.

The proof.
http://arcadecr.com/ggacpr.jpg
1024 x 768 window in a 1360 x 768 desktop.

The method.
Go to config file on the Guilty Gear folder on documents and edit the windowed resolution.

:WindowResolutionWidth
1024
:WindowResolutionHeight
768 /instead of 576 put 768
:FullscreenResolutionWidth
1024
:FullscreenResolutionHeight
768
:FullScreen
# 0 = window, 1 = fullscreen
0
:AspectRatioFixed
# 0 = full, 1 = aspect ratio fixed
1

Works fine on full screen, be sure your monitor support the resolution you set on the settings file.

Hope this help someone.

My game won't crash in fullscreen mode no matter what aspect ratio my screen's resolution is, but maybe setting your screen resolution to a 4:3 aspect ratio before starting GGXXAC+R will stop it from crashing.

Make sure to set the Side Panel to anything but "Black" before doing this, because the black side panels are dynamically positioned whereas the others are static.

This reduces input delay, even in fullscreen. .-.
640x480 here.

My options are very limited with that screen. It just supports 1024x768 and 800x600. I think both resolutions are 4:3. The game works fine I just didnt like windowed resolution of the game because it doesnt take all the screen space. When I did this change the frames were gone and it looks cool.
Later Ill try DXwnd to see if I can make the window borderless.:8bitheart:

CYA.

Thanks man, it helps me to set the game to pixel perfect size which is 640x480. I don't mind the side bar so I also sometimes set it to 854x480. I like it windowed and pixel perfect like a minigame hehe

When you say "frames on sides" do you mean the bezel art? You can disable that in the options.
Right, but a few of us had complained about the unreasonable incompatibility with 4:3 aspect screens like old CRTs. This completely fixes the issue. I was able to set the game to 480p on my CRT just by forcing the aspect ratio and fullscreen resolution (doesn't crash for me, whew).
Hopefully we'll see professional tournaments using this mode.

So with this I can put my resolution 1440 x 900?
It should work for any resolution your monitor supports, but scaling might be a bit weird (although I think if the sidebars are dynamic, it could make up for odd aspect ratios). Fullscreen may or may not work.

When you disable the bezel art, there are still two black bars on the sides of the screen. This makes those bars to dissapear so the battle takes all the screen width. :)

It made 0 changes to my inputs in gameplay. You might have something else going on there.

For people looking for borderless window solutions, Borderless Gaming works just fine.
