Xrd is also better suiter to newcomers if that helps.
I personally prefer Xrd.
ACR is very technical compared to Xrd and strays a bit from the gameplay of #Reload, the latter of which Xrd is more closely based on (i.e., Xrd didn't build upon ACR, it went back to #Reload instead and developed the mechanics from there). If doing crazy ♥♥♥♥ is your thing, then definitely go with ACR, but keep in mind that you likely wont have a big player base for online. If your plan is to simply play "GG", then go with Xrd. ACR has the reputation of being one of, if not the, hardest fighting games technically. Certainly it is the hardest in the GG series.
I personally prefer ACR over Xrd. But if you can only buy one GG game, then go with Xrd.
Second, are you new to GG? XRD is the one to choose since is way easier to play and learn than this.
I've played GG for 10 years but still not adopt AC's system...
In Xrd at least there's tutorial, challenges and missions to help you get better.
