Need Help on Slayer's back dash cancelling.
Learned the concept from the guilty bits video, but could not understand it very well. Can someone explain to me how to do this?

I know you can cancel into jump, but that's as far as I go. Haven't been able to figure out how to do what they showed in the video(cancelling the dash into mappa hunch).

I don't play Slayer on a high level so I can't say technically how it works exactly with 100% certainty, but as I understand it since Slayer's backdash gives him invincibility, and because he can jump cancel his backdash at any point, you can use it to give you invincibility frames. It's why there are times that (I believe, at least) Slayer can backdash, jump out of it and go through normals in the air, since he maintains the invulnerability. (That's toned down in Xrd compared to AC+R, I think) But either way, what you end up doing from my understanding is:

Backdash to gain invulnerability frames > Jump cancel the backdash to free up your actions > During Pre-jump frames you input a normal and maintain the invulnerability given to you during that time.

So what you end up doing is something like 44 > 2369P/K. In doing so, you backdash, tiger knee the mappa punch and are allowed to do the special while maintaining the remaining invul frames from your backdash.

Wow, thanks for the quick and very detailed response. I actually managed to do it!
Seems like I need a lot of practice if I want to use it constantly considering how quick I have to input the motion. I've always had trouble with moves that require you to mash up, but not jump, like Dizzy IK.
Again, really appreciate the help. As Slayer would say, Godspeed!
Not at all. My best advice I can give in regards to TKing moves in AC+R is to firstly be precise with the inputs (Baiken's TK Youzansen is really finnicky to come out if you don't do the 623 properly) and make sure to end on 9 as opposed to 8. The timing I've always found that works for me is inputting right between the 6 and 9 as you "roll" between them in a single motion.
