Heavy Rock Tracks IS Guilty Gear X soundtrack, the true definitive one. The first version of the soundtrack for the Arcade version was LAME, that's why they made a new one with real instruments instead of poor fake synth-guitars. Guilty Gear X music = Guilty Gear X Heavy Rock Tracks: The Original Soundtrack of Dreamcast.
A lot of the Korean themes are better than the Japanese ones, but again, in the end just a question of taste/opinion. For me it's 50/50, that's why I made that mod.
Pillars of the Underworld, Starchaser, The Great Empress, Richochet, Megatona Furioso, Blacklight Babe, Vortex Infinitum...!
But 100%? Gods no. Awe Of She, A Solitude That Asks Nothing In Return, Meet Again, Fatal Duel, Still in the Dark, Feel A Fear, Suck A Sage, 風雅, Blue Water Blue Sky!!
I will add that in the description of the mod.
Also big update with version 1.1 : sound quality even better for all the tracks, added awesome new themes for Axl and Testament composed by Daisuke Ishiwatari from the Guilty Gear Arrange Tracks Plus CD, Baiken's theme now from Heavy Rock Tracks, Survival and Arcade's endings are now from Korean Version, and some little optional bonus explained at the end of the mod description.
Definitely sounds like it.
The actual music is OK quality, it's decent (it was the voices and FX that were awfully compressed before the update), my mod just goes for .FLAC/WAV uncompressed quality, but it makes the game files way bigger.
