Controller Support + Dev Update

Hello everyone!

Today we have a little update on the game's progress! Out of all zones that will be in the game's release we have finished working on the performance, features and fixes for the chapel, the small area outside the chapel, the forest and bridge areas, the whole red coal segment (village entrance) and other areas that would spoil you if I mentioned them!

We finally added gamepad support! Grab your favourite controller and end the oppressors this time with a weird magic rock in your hands that has tons of buttons!

UI icons will also update depending on the input used and a pop-up will appear when switching. Currently there's one for PC and XBOX controllers (as well as Steam Deck, but we haven't tested it yet) but we are waiting for our publisher to also add the PS5 and other controller icons.

But the biggest progress is by far are the changes to the previous last zone and the new zone and time travel section! This ones are ready for testing at the moment, and if you haven't seen them yet here's some screenshots!

Saw your post on Reddit about the environments and they really are the main draw for me. It looks great. Love the color choices and art style. The gameplay and worldbuilding are good too, though. I really only have a few minor notes/criticisms: 1. There was a lot of stuttering for me early on in the mausoleum for some reason. 2. The darkness when being stealthy was a bit much on my screen. That's right! Crimson Tale will be coming to these 2 consoles! So if you were waiting for the chance of maybe playing it on PS5 and XBOX then congratulations!

When? At the same time of the PC release date! Speaking of that...

CONFIRMED RELEASE WINDOW!

The game will be releasing at the tail end of 2026, around Q4 (October to December). We were originally thinking on publishing it mid 2026, but due to this partnership we were strategically pushed to Q4 2026. This will give us more time to further polish the game and add new areas (as seen in the last event), so it's a win win situation.

And that is what we wanted to share!

head bobbing effect near ledges is too strong

and the head bobbing toggle doesnt disable that, its very disorienting and makes me dizzy, someone who hasnt those kinds of issues usually

Could you please tell me more about the game? In particular: 1. Are the keyboard and mouse controls rebindable? 2. How does the game save progress? 3. Is the story linear or branching? 4. What is the expected time per playthrough?
