Terrain loading very slowly
I've tried running Google Earth VR both under the Oculus app and the SteamVR app. The terrain and buildings stay stuck at the lowest LOD for what seems like forever. I've tried increasing my cache settings in the .json file but that doesn't seem to be helping. Is anyone else here having this issue?

Have you tried somewhere else? Some areas in Google Earth VR just look ♥♥♥♥ now :(

I was using GEVR just yesterday and it was working fine. GEVR doesn't really have LOD models, it just streams data in continuously. If the models aren't updating, that means data isn't streaming which could be an issue with your internet or the servers.

Figured out the issue. I went over to

C:\ProgramData\Google\VR\Earth\earthdata

and deleted the file: sqlitecache_unified.db which was something like 62GB in size.

And now everything loads fine. Thanks everyone for your suggestions.

If everything works fine until it rebuilds the huge cache, the problem is the result of the cache being strictly for the same session. The next session, about 30 seconds in, GEVR stops streaming and reads the ENTIRE local cache, quickly if it's default size, forever if it's huge, with no benefit to the user.
