Hello again, survivors, to our second major update for ZERO POINT SURVIVOR.

• Added a new Ship! Bulky and with the ability to spawn buddies.
  
• Improved the trader: added two trader variants, reworked the trader weapon pool
  
  1. Added the Neon Trader, which sells at a discount
     
  2. Added the Shady Trader, which sells at the cost of HP
• Added 4 new trader exclusive weapons:
  
  1. The Cannon, a slow and powerful front facing blaster
     
  2. The Black Hole, a completely unique, gravity warping pointer
     
  3. The Bubble Bobbler, to trap enemies in soapy cages
     
  4. The Greed Purse, to shoot your hard earned cash into your enemy's face
• Added two rare Buddy variants: the Halflets, which once recruited turns into 4 mini halflets shooting 4 bullets in an alternating + and x pattern; and the Pirate Buddy!
  
• Added a new achievement.

• Added a visual for when the edge of the world is reached
  
• Added a SFX for when the Ship's ability is ready to be used
  
• Adjusted Cooldown scaling to depend on percentage AND a fixed number (in practice, this makes Cooldown upgrades less efficient on high cooldown ships, giving the return more balance across the different ship types)

• Adjusted the SFX volume of Buddies to be more in-line with the rest of the SFX
  
• Fixed Level up screen being stuck
  
• Fixed crashes on Level 3 and before seeing the ending
  
• Fixed an issue with the achievement for Boss 3 being granted before actually encountering the boss
  
• You can't continue the game after seeing the ending
  
• Fixed menu music not looping
  
• Laser upgrades no longer drop at max weapon levels
  
• Trader weapon slots are now working and show
  
• Can no longer get upgrades for weapons you have sold
  
• Fixed chest bugs breaking the menus

Welcome, survivors, to our first major update for ZERO POINT SURVIVOR!
Michael and I have worked tirelessly to improve the game, clean it, fix it, balance it, and add more features!
At the bottom of the post, you will find the complete list of changes. But before that, here is a mini-interview of our solo programmer!
(A. is for me, M. is for Michael)

A: "When did you first begin this project?"
M: "I started making this game as a recreation of "asteroids" back in the middle of 2023."
A: "What has been the hardest part of the process?"
M: "Reworking my shitty code from the past BY FAR has been the worst part"
A: "What has been the feature you have enjoyed adding the most?"
M: "I have no idea what to say for the last question (maybe everything in the game lol) "

• added the Buddy, an entity that has a rare chance to spawn at the beginning of each minute who will help you in battle and explode into a devastating blow if you are damaged, killing nearby enemies

• balanced costs of upgrades to generally be cheaper, Luck is now much much cheaper to start with and is the achievement with the highest scaling cost
  
• reworked Multishot to have tiers, each level improving the chance to trigger multishot
  
• made ships way cheaper (except for the overclock ship, which has been made more expensive)
  
• improved the damage multiplier of the Fast ship (it is now 1 times instead of 0.85 times)
  
• lowered the damage multiplier of the Hammer Ship (it is now 1.2 times instead of 1.5 times); slightly increased cooldown
  
• turned the Overclock Ship into a glass cannon and further changes (dmg multiplier now 1.1 times instead of 1.5 times; HP now 50 instead of 110)
  
• Level 3 Boss's spawn attack cooldown increased; HP of spawns increased
  
• generally improved balance

• fixed a bug that was compressing the quality of the backgrounds
  
• fixed game breaking bugs with Level 3
  
• fixed the boss of Level 3 having an insta-kill attack (oops!)
  
• fixed toooooons of other bugs
