The exit is also to the left of the map, if you head southwest after exiting from the door closest to the safe.
* then rush to the safe, forget about the gas, then rush to the exit, you wont have to fight many ennemies if you go fast.
* imo if you try to stop the gas, you loose too many turns and have to fight and kill too many guards, also the exit takes 3 turns to open, one more reason to just rush .
worked very well for me
So pick the dialogues carefully when meeting the other group.
Don't end up like me - save often, kids.
You can rewind, so you do not have to replay everything. that option is not deleted.
So you can still rewind or even restart from the same level.
So if you restart from that save. you will end up at the beginning of that level.
Rewind is beginning of that chapter. (base entry)
Either piss poor design, or a bug, so I hope it's a bug.
Even if it doesn't get brought up, the runners should INTERJECT that they have the keycard, because it makes no sense to stand around waiting for more security.
If you ally with them, they will join with you, giving you effectively 8 men to fight off the guards who come in from the South, as well as access to the locked safe. Then you can send Koshei into the vents to shut down the gas without being at too much of a combat disadvantage while doing so.
Have them come with you during the escape scenarios, to help with the guards, who WILL follow you all the way to the final exit. They also help fight the loser types who try to mug you at the very end. Letting them keep the prototype also gives you some minor help running the Matrix in Prosperity Tower; they leave directions. All in all, a decent bargain for the loss of a laser rifle that you don't really need.
3 years and Harebrained Schemes never bothered to clean this bug up? I've encountered it as well. If I don't get the keycard, the game just locks itself up and I can't proceed anymore.
I went in the matrix on the 1st floor. (I think this is my mistake)
Then on floor 27, did every thing (looked to emails, read stuff in the computers, met the other group, closed the gas, killed the enforcers, everything) ...
When I 1st met the group, conversation started, but no option to get the card.
Then after the fight, no conversation starts any more.
No way to open the safe and no way to leave the area ... Completely stuck ... Have to restart everything ... great.
