How is my game saved?

I want to keep my save file but I need to reformat my computer system, will my game file be saved to my steam cloud or will my progress be wiped? Anyone know?

Steam cloud should be able to save your progress, but just in case try to make a backup.

So from it you can do steps 6 and modified 7 to make a backup (you can ignore the rest):

6. Go to your steam directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\YOUR_USER_ID
7. Backup Folder "346900"

When you need to restore it (in case steam cloud fails), just install the game and copy those files back into this folder overwriting everything.
