Save Import / Export from Kongregate: The Method

Update: Apparently the storage method has been changed and you'd need to replace the save data both in registry and the file. I can't provide further instructions because I haven't done that. Please refer to further down the thread for possible solutions.

If you really want to import your save from Kongregate, do the following:
1.) Make sure you're playing on Earth
2.) Go to the Stats & Swag screen
3.) Export your save (this copies a long string into your clipboard)
4.) Make sure the steam version is closed
5.) Open your Steam/userdata folder
6.) Find the 346900 folder, this is the AppID for AdCap
7.) Open the remote/gamestate.sav file with a good text editor (Notepad++ or similar)
8.) Paste your exported save data, save the file
9.) ...
10.) Open AdCap and enjoy your online save on the steam version!

Disclaimers:
- This should work with an exported game from any site - but I haven't tested that.
- I do not play the Android and iPhone versions, so I don't know where their save files are located.
- I have not tested if this affects steam achievements, but you should be able to soft reset and power through the progression.
- I do not know if this imports your paid multipliers, since my x3 multi on Kong was apparently lost somewhen last year.

The string is too long, it turned into invisible characters for some reason.

Do this: In that blank textbox you should see the blinking text bar. Press "Ctrl+Shift+ Left Arrow" to select all fast (You wont see what are you selecting but you are doing it). When it stop press delete.

Look at the edit of my first post. like i said it may occours blank. click into the value box, press strg+a to mark the whole string (which occurs invisible) and hit backspace to delete it. then simply copy your new string in it

No idea why, but this kinda worked, and kinda didnt. I did get a not brand new save file, but it was still no where near as far along as my actual. Pity, thanks for the guide though, think I will email the folks at Hippo.

Or, you know, they could just allow a manual save import/export like every other clicker game... Not being able to have a backup save does not fill me with warm fuzzies.

Didn't work for me. I tried cutting the current code and then pasting the good one, I tried mixing them up, placing them separately, I tried everything, and it didn't work.

Hi, i could manage to import the earth with your method but i also had the moon on my kongregate save and when i try to go to the space it says i need to wait for 5000 hours instead of 50 and that's a lot. How do i do it?

I did and get a response with a code which is told that will give me my angels back but my problem is my stucked savefile that i can't wipe reset. Even if I use the code, it still will be impossible to go to the moon in 200ish days. I'm really hopeless.
