CH > AC, in my opinion.
I started Adventure Capitalist before I started CH, and after a few ascends I got bored of CH and quit. In CH the restarts aren't rewarded and when you ascend you simply re-do the progress you had spent a month on with a couple bonuses. However, the gilded heros or the power-ups you get from restarting make little to no effect on the game until you've ascended a dozen times. In CH I was only satisfied with my progress after a dozen ascends. What makes Adv. Capitalist fun is seeing your money accumulate almost instantly, and seeing your lemonade stands gradually go from 1 mil per second to 100 octotrigintillion per second over the course of a month. Also, where in CH there is a curve to the rewards you get from each reset, AC is fairly linear, with a mathematically constant advancement instead of the bonuses from souls.
Although I can understand if you want continual progression like in EVE (a game I am very fond of), AC takes a lot less time to have fun with, and if you decide to play it, you will be addicted for a long time.
adventure capitalist - click for upgrades only (after the first second of gameplay)
clicker heroes - actively click your life away
summary:
if you waste your time doing nothing, adventure capitalist is a perfect fit. if you prefer to waste your time clicking or dealing with macros, clicker heroes may be more suited for you.
