Like real world cash? While I have spent money in this game that was on the moon and earth. I have spent $0 on Mars, I did get through the earlier parts by spamming that stupid x2 multiplier tho, but by the end you don't need it.
2 days ago is a lie , if you spent no gold or megabucks (aka no money spent) there was a 54 hour countdown clock , so theres 2 and a bit days gone, hard to believe alot of people bragging they finished it 2 days ago without spending gold or megabucks to speed the countdown clock for starters. Because with paying Earth money you get the countdown clock to 54-56 hours till launch.
Ive spent 20 USD since starting the game in December (pretty much what the game is worth as a retail product) I have bought some 7 day and 24hr timers for earth and moon not to mention my gold suit lol, no planet multipliers nor was i on for those 'free gold' gift events at christmas and maybe easter.
I think I got mars really fast because I had built up a LOT of Megabucks over time. I have about 150 hours on this game. The trick to Mars early game is that x2 multiplier, it can really help speed things up, but its a pain to keep pressing it (and SO NOISY). Eventually tho you wont need to use it. If you have enough pateince you will get to a stage where you can restart really fast, but I would wait a bit until my investments multiplied really high, it eventually just all snowballed untill it got too fast for the game to contain really.
OH YEAH and I used like 4 golden tickets on mars but they were all purchased with megabucks. I have the tickets on Men, Buggles, Heck portals and Ambassadors
So basically you wasted alot of your megabucks speeding up the countdown clock to get to mars quicker, would have costed you about 20 megabucks to speed the countdown timer 48hrs, I had 4 gold businesses before the update, newspapers (10), oxygen (10), cheese (10), lasers (10) had like 18 megabucks left over.
Just remember those multipliers only come every 3 hours and they arer only x2 unless you spend game gold on them..
update : 4 golden tickets on mars thats 40 megabucks, along with your 20 or so to speed up time of the countdown clock thats 60 megabucks (theoretically the average user of 150-160 play hours) had around 60 megabucks (before the moon patch, unless you were one of the lucky people who had bugged megabucks, when they were first released)
You would have had only 8 x2 multipliers if you reset every 3 hrs, im still not sure how you could finish with those playtime figures, The first terraformer takes 5 hours...hmm
