this game is the an absolute grindfest.

i completed final fantasy iv in roughly 33 hours which was perfectly fine.
i finished final fantasy iii, which was already pretty grindy during the endgame, in about 43 hours.

but this??? over 50 hours now and it‘s still going. what were they thinking???

i played some rpg that went way past the 65 hour mark, but they had huge sprawling worlds, a gripping story and somewhat varying gameplay.
but since ff iv tay is pretty much exactly the same game as the original ff iv and even recyles its environments, enemies and boss fights, there is no excuse to drag this grindfest on and on and on for eternety.

wow. as a newcomer to the series who really liked final fantasy iii and iv i am fed up with this series for at least months now, thanks to ff iv tay.

it‘s driving me crazy.

Definitely a different perspective from someone who likes RPGs. I hit the 99 hour mark in Final Fantasy 9 and decided to see how far I could go. Ended up somewhere around 1:50. I view the story of Final Fantasy 4 as significantly more interesting than that of nine, so you can imagine how thrilled I am to hear this.

I logged over 600 hours in FF13-2 just infusing new monsters.
Logged in over 400 in lightning returns trying to unlock everything. Logged in over 200 hours in FFtactics, about 80-100 hours in all 3 psx numericals.

Logged in probably more than that in morrowind, diablo2, and many other rpgs.
You get what you pay for, 3/4 were made for NES. Was kind of a different time back then. FF6 is way longer than after years if you wanna get everything including gau's rages.

Its not a horror survival game, or an action shooter, its an rpg. The point of an rpg is to be long, and build up stuff. I'm glad to hear its this long, you sold the game for me OP thanks.
