Yep
- This feed is supposed to contain patch notes (not questionable marketing bs), especially for early access game such as Ark
- Patch notes are supposed to contain a list of FIXED BUGS, which i have never seen here
- News are supposed to be about the same game on which's steam page it shows, not about advertising a different game
So when is final stable version of "Ark: Survival Evolved" 1.0 coming out?
(aka what we paid for when we purchased the early access, followed by season pass for all future content, followed by season pass for all future future content)
How sad. Expected. But still sad.
I hope ASA lives up to the promises made by the concept art and dev environment assets, but realistically I'm not seeing anything that is worth buying a game. I'm not even convinced there's a game to buy.
These weekly crumbs are what I expect from an early-development game getting ready to hit private alpha. And even then, there's usually more to show than this, especially this close to the alleged release.
So no. I am not hyped about anything. I'm cautiously waiting for the game to go live so that I can make an informed decision.
Everything to do with the mods is a recruitment practice that is an industry standard. It has nothing to do with kindness or generousity - it has everything to do with staffing and product-development for the purposes of increasing sales.
I mean, some of the most successful and highly-paid staff at DigiSec companies got their jobs after they "applied" via the medium of smashing through those companies' "best in the industry to date" protection barriers. In some cases in an almost artistic fashion. But, to be clear - that sort of thing is a crime and is in no way good and should not be done by anyone. Ever.
It is common business practice for the whole digital industry. You run a DigiSec company - you wait to get hacked then hire that person to fix the flaws they used. You run a game studio - you offer up a "prize" of "$1k and a job" for someone who can design something for their game they can add to it then sell on.
Saying the same thing repeatedly does not make a "longer list". Also, THEY don't do the "free for a week" it is EGS that does it. As I understand it, one of the parts of the licence agreement for building your game on Unreal Engine is that should EGS decide to give it away for free as a "featured game" they can. You know, what with them being the same group as make UE.
So, not "kind" or "generous" of WC, but "a stipulated contractual requirement" for using Unreal Engine.
No. What they have done "for years" is "sell" the game. ALL games are basically obligated to fix broken things in order to be able to continue to sell their product.
So, not "kind" or "generous" of WC, but "selling their game" and "doing their job" - whether or not they do it to the expected standard is up to individuals to decide but, you know....
We've been over this so many times now...
They don't. What they do is "associate themselves" with the annual EL charity event, as it is not theirs. They then act as a donation portal for the PLAYERS to donate the money.
It is not WC's charity and WC do not donate money - the players do.
Well then, take the time to do so. I for one would be FASCINATED to read that list. I mean, it must be magical stuff indeed!
As for the rest of your nonsense, I can't be bothered with addressing it now. It's the same, repeated lies and fantasy-born rubbish you post every week. I'm bored of it and so I am going to go farm more XP on Starship Troopers instead. At least that, while a little repetitive for the moment, is more entertaining.
