GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓🦓
If I'm going to be honest, I'm not very hopeful for ARK 2. The original is going to be extremely hard to top in terms of quality, survival, non-linear story, and first person mode.
If ARK 2 manages to not be a clone of something like Horizon or Dark Souls, I'll be impressed. You just really can't beat ARK without a miracle, and it nearly brings a tear to my eye to witness the last dinosaur being added, especially since it's just... this.
The abilities sound cool, it looks cool, all-around cool, except for the fact that you'd think it would be something with much more flare. You'd think it would be something with much more enigmatic energy. Something cooler than a mere Carcha. Like a new boss, or a new feature to the game entirely, although considering that this must be the second-to-last update before ARK 2... happens, a lot of this may seem unrealistic. However, the amount of effort put into ARK (and it's filesize) is also very unrealistic.
TL;DR: I hoped for more than a Carcha, ARK 2 may suck, ARK 1 is good.
EL DINO SALE CON MAPA O NO?
All in all, this is really just confusing and saddening for me. ARK is dying, the future seems a bit dim (what with ARK 2 seeming to be a rouguelike, not my type of game), and to top it all off we have the Carcha. I don't know, maybe I'll change my opinion on the Carcha once I see it in action, but it's just sad to see ARK go. I grew up with this game.
Still salty about the tropeo promised to join all maps and still be locked on a single one.
