But why does it download itself without permission when my genesis season pass is unchecked and genesis part one uninstalled since almost its release..? I understand some people like it... I don't... Why is it updating without being even checked on my steam ark dlcs..? This is annoying...

Your text only tells, that you don`t know anything about the game...... Ark is based on an older engine which has many bugs too, and so they can`t fix many mandy things until they would redo the whole game from beginning with the new Engine. Ark 2 will come with the new engine to stop all that bugs... so stop write without any sense of knowledge about it -_-

Because, if we can Crossark the Creatures and stuff, you wont see them and their stuff if you play on the Island without Genesis installed and someone has a Noglin there.... it would corrupt your game if you don`t.... and this happens in every Game where you can play with DLC stuff on Maps from older ones

Yeah it is actually impossible, Ark has over 100k lines of code while Dark Souls 3 has like 17k. Ark 2 is thier way of fixing it so people should just quit the whining and enjoy the space dolphins!

This is kind of true... Although having said that... irrelevant... As clients, the fact that their engine is old and not working properly is not our problem... Even less when you see the price tag of their dlcs... If tomorrow I buy a defective item in a shop and the seller tells me "well see the machine that manufacture it is old and not working properly but the new ones will be better"... I will gently tell him that it is not really my problem because I kinda want the item I bought to work... Just saying^^

Does anyone else run their server using scalacube? does anyone know when we can select it for the map change?

To be clear people you need 5 hrs for Ark to update because of STEAM. WC has nothing to do with your download folks. Go read what they post, where they say they are UPLOADING the update to STEAM!!!
Now everyone flood Steam Support with tickets on this issue so that MAYBE just MAYBE instead of adding stupid crap and messing up our libraries they will fix crap like this so you do not have to uninstall crap to get what you paid for to work!!!!!
This is not the only game for me that has this issue. Know many others that also have many games that are like this. Steam is the issue here and only their paying customers are going to force a change. This is why I support Epic Game Store. Betting over there I can install Ark all the DLC and the latest update before Steam will finish just the update.
