every time I log in, I am floating and there is no land rendered. Dinos and supply drops are there and I get killed by dinos, but cannot move around. any ideas on how to fix this issue will be appreciated. (other maps work just fine)

You probably only downloaded the update and not the dlc it self
(Steam/Shop/ARK/DLC/Crystal Isles/download)

Would be nice to try it out but ARK literally wont finish the update and for reason is trying to download the map on my C: Drive eventhough my D: Drive is default.
