The second contest which will take place is for the #ARKArt award! This is a title given to the Survivor who has created, in our eyes, the best piece of art for that week using our new Per-Pixel painting system! Similarly to #ARKitect, Survivors will need to upload their masterpiece to the Community Hub, both the Artwork or Screenshot section will suffice and then also post them in the designated thread, it’s also possible that we’ll see the screenshots in the hub but posting them in the thread will ensure that they’ll be spotted!
The #ARKArt award for Community Crunch 12 goes to…
First place: Padawan [FR] & Tomirock

First?
Its great that Ark can cater to both the blood thirsty brutes and the creative intellectuals.
It was amazing that as many dodo stayed aboard as did. Several leapt overboard never to be seen again, although I did discover one that made it to a small island nearby, lol (it's in one of the night shots :)). I can imagine it on there all alone drawing a wilson on an egg to keep itself company.
It would be like trying to spilt the painting contest for those that have a mouse and those that use a tablet.
u right, more or less... but:
when people choose to play the "hard way", why "cant they win"?
-> building - and being creative! - on unoffical server vs. offical servers is alot difference. On unoffical u can have like x20 resources, admincheats, ghostmode to build etc. etc. You can try alot out by just try and error, that u cant on offical because of resources. You can make bigger buildings with "better" material without "wasting" hundred of hours to get the resources etc.
So ye, for sure thats different and you "can" be much more creative on unoffical/offline/x20 Servers etc. - and thats why i think they should "split" this contest.
excuse my english. ;)
Plus, surely people are smart enough to do building test runs on single player with cheats before they try building something so time consuming and buggy on the main/privet servers? Most of my building is all done legit, even my roof that Im currently redoing so that it levels out and is flush along the edging. But that is my choice.
It would be like adding another split for people who used Dino's to gather resorces and those that did it by hand, just because those that did it by hand put more effort into it. Or even a split for those that built something by themself and those that had a tribe to help them.
(Also your english is great, much better then some of the born english speakers)
ye they do, more or less.
so i guess we are "forced" to play singleplayer with cheats to get this much resources to "try and error" to be "creativ (aka build big badass ♥♥♥♥♥)" and create winning-castle-number263? ;)
