Made a Dedicated Server but it's not creating Save Folder or GameUserSettings.ini

So, I followed a guide and made a dedicated server. It seems like it worked. I booted it up, then found and joined the server through the game. However, the guide I followed said that once I launch the server a Saved Folder will be created with all the sever config settings. This never happened. So, I cant change any of the server settings or anything. You can see in the link below an image of my server running and the folder where the saved folder is supposed to be but isn't. Anyone know what's up? I really want to get this going but getting frustrated.

where do you have the Steamapps folder saved to? IE, C drive, External, Desktop, ect.


If it is on your C drive, you need to make Shootergame Read/Write. Not Read Only. It can't add a folder to the C Drive without permissions from the computer to do so. (Hence why I launch mine on External SSDs)

Hmm. Cant get it to work yet. I right-click on the ShooterGame folder, go to properties and unclick the 'read only' box and apply it to all subfolders. It takes about 5 minutes to apply. But when I check the properties again after, the read only box is checked again and the saved folder doesnt appear still. Not sure how to make read/write, but will keep tinkering.

I got it to work! You have to right click, go to properties, and edit all the inherited permissions. Thanks for the help!
