ARK lore characters: pasts, opinions, and ideas on futures?

I have been reading up on the explorer notes via the ARK wiki, and I have been intrigued by them. I started with Raia and John Dahkeya, and then started from the beginning with Helena and Mei-Yin Li. I got through Scorched Earth for Helena, and the Island with Li. I would like to start a discussion on the various characters in ARK lore, mainly those of the central storyline (Helena, Rockwell, Nerva, Mei-Yen Li, Dahkeya, Raia, Altaras, Stafford, Muller, etc).

What do you think could be proper pre-ARK backstories for them? Why were they chosen to be brought?

What kind of deeper story line could they go through in the time of their notes? What do you think of each of them as individuals, within their story on a specific map or the game as a whole? What subplots might there be with them? (Dahk-Raia is a concept that made me think of this last question)

Who is/are your favorite?

Given the lore and continuity of the latest content and the current state of Rockwell, Li, and Helena's stories, what do you think will happen in the futures of the characters? Keep in mind those, like Raia, who were still alive after Helena, Li, and Rockwell's ascensions. Will they return? How might the "respawn" option come into play with the story line? What new characters could they add? (for this last question, a description of their origin would be preferable) How could maps like Ragnarok and Valguero be brought into story?

Answer any you want, all that you want, however you want. This is where any potential role play aspect of the game might come from. If you end up thinking of another idea about the characters that I didn't list, feel free to post it, too.

Also, I think (and this is probably just me) that an ARK comic series, based on the events of the Explorer Notes and the experiences in the game, would be cool.

Example:

My favorite characters are Dahkeya (because he's Native American), Raia (because Egyptians are cool, and she is like Valka from HTTYD after she raises her Wyvern flock), Li, and I guess Helena (because main character?).

I think that the explorer notes hint to Raia and Dahkeya having a romance during their time on the Scorched Earth world, and extra lore would be that Raia has a child sometime after Dahkeya's death, and perhaps (depending on timing) around the time she meets Helena.

Raia should make another appearance in the future, but I can't think of exactly how, just that my Gibbs-Gut tells me that it would make sense, that once Helena and company solve the riddle, and manage to restore things, they would go and bring those they met along the way with them.

An early 1800s Cherokee warrior would be cool. A being from another planet or star system would be strange, but interesting, ans I could almost see it working. Although, a Togruta wouldn't last a day on any of the maps, with their obvious colors.
