1. Because you're using a laptop and how steam detects cards and drivers respectively with them, ensure that you've the latest nvidia driver for your low end 3000 series card and that settings are properly enabled that the game is playing on said graphics and not the UHD ones by error. If you're not using nvidia geforce experience, download it so that you can keep up to date with the latest drivers needed for your card and as well because it helps set games like ark for the appropriate graphic settings per the limitations of your card. That card while you may for example push to play it in higher fidelity settings is not meant to to so with regards to ark.
2. Yuo've more than one drive listed for your computer as well, make sure that you have both steam and ark on the same drive. Be aware too that HDD's (especially with mod use) can be slower too(though not necessarily a crash point but just way slower in mod loading in single or unofficial game play.
3. You've a mess with your mods:
-Multiple broken and abandoned mods some being so for 7+ years.
-Bad load order
-Mutiple mods with overlapping utility that could potentially have conflcits
-Multiple other mods that may be in conflict with each other
And the list goes on. You need to go through your list, read carefully the work shop pages for each mod and cull the bad mods, and better reorganize mods
4. Given poor mod management, it is then a distinct possibility that you're also pushing other game play settings to potential extremes that may also be contributing to your issues. For example higher wild dino counts causing more to be rendered thus more to be problematic for your low end 3000 series card.
5. Are you using any launch code parameters too? If so remove them all. Most are obsolete outside of things like -preventhibernation(which some mods on your list require btw).
Basically, there currently are thus too many variables that could be causing your issue as well as potentially putting you at risk for crashes and other issues.
Also to help testing, find yourself via battlemetrics a public unofficial server that uses 1. No mods. 2. Default settings. 3. The Island server. This can hopefully be used as a test control to see whether its specific to your comp or specific to your single player game play choices as mentioned above. If the default settings server shows no indications of the same issue you're experiencing in your single player iteration AND you've exhausted all efforts outlined above to resolve, then you're perhaps going to have to start with a fresh clean save, maintaining default play settings in single player to start first and with --no-- mods. If its ok then, then start adding 1 mod at a time(in the proper load order) and testing there after in game until you get (or not) the same issue. If no issue then start altering your game play settings.
Sort those things and lets see from there.
so maybe that could be the issue? but i have a crap ton of games on my normal drive which uses a lot of space so thats why i have ark on a separate one.
the mods could be an issue as well but im not sure on how to check if their not corrupted.
yes i already tried verifying the files and that didnt fix anything.
i have seen this issue many times before on other maps like Ebenus astrum and others but other than that im not sure.
i know im all set on the latest drivers. i havent crashed in a long time now, and the only launch codes i have are -preventhibernation and -high. and please tell me on how to have a good load order? i have searched up on how to fix this many many times but i am unable to find a solution
upgrade this, oh sheeet its a laptop? Idk then you will have to minmax settings. I got Ark looking great and playing well years ago on a desktop 1070 non ti. Heat is your enemy with a laptop if you have settings turned up. Basically I would turn textures up and shadows to low and turn off all the god ray effects and light shafts unless I was taking a screen shot then.
You might wanna look into a desktop with at least a 2060-3060 with as much ram as you can afford. Any version of a XX50 card will struggle with Ark textures esp if not on a fast SSD
and laptop cards are also even weaker versions of desktop counterparts so you have to take that into consideration.
Also if you play ark have it installed on an SSD I have an internal 1TB SSD just for Ark and all of its mods. Ark mods slow loading MASSIVELY on a traditional HD so SSD or M.2 will help in this area.
Every once in a while I have to go through all my mods when starting a new game and turn them all off and turning each one on one at a time to make sure they dont break each other or have Texture conflicts with each other. Some Mods and maps might have unique texture assets that conflict so thats why I say turn them on one at a time. It's a pain but nice once you get it all dialed in. Hope you find a solution
I am now going to uninstall ark and reinstall it to my main drive. i really hope this works or ill off myself (joke)
again thank you guys !
Im pretty sure its some of the mods causing this but im not sure how to find it
im gonna try and delete all my mods and only install the mods that are up to date. i have lots of outdated mods.
Idk what to do man i reset all my mods and downloaded the mods from MrMeola's new series and i even put them in the order he did and mine is still clay looking. idk what to do
