6.6k+ hrs in ASE
3070TI graphics card
Ark: Survival Acended is just a shinier remake of Ark: Survival Evolved and it is not worth it and here are the main reasons:
1. Terrible performance: Crashes, low FPS, poor graphics options handling - which means if you set to medium, it looks like crap and works like crap.
2. Limited content. As others mentioned only 3 maps
3. Paymium stuff: Bob's Tall Tales DLC is paid, Pyromane is Paid... AND some of the mods have to paid also like: Ark: Omega, Svartalfheim Map, etc.
4. Monopoly on server hosting -> only Nitrado available.
Ark: Survival Evolved same old same old, here are the cons:
1. No more bugfixing
2. No more official servers
3. No more official additions
My honest advice here is to stick to ASE if you didn't buy ASA until they fix that poorly done remake.
IF you have 4090 and willing to pay for paymium stuff, then stick to ASA, it has more pleasant graphics and additions coming monthly.
in term of gameplay, the original game is way more advanced than the "new" one since it's stuck to scorthed earth engrams/mechanics.
you'll have way more fun / to discover in the original game especially if you did not play the last dlcs yet, and it will still be cheaper than buying the new version and trying to stick to their new "pay to tame pet / pay to access engrams" commercial strategy.
