So a battle on land between the two would most definitely lead to the T-Rex's victory, even though the Spino is larger. It just doesn't belong there.
A battle in the water, well, I don't think a T-Rex would last long even while not fighting.
Spinosaurus is an incredibly specialized dinosaur, it's unrivaled in its field of fishing. But if it were to fight T-Rex, it's lose. t just isn't made for that, it rules its own area.
Of course, this is assuming that the Spinosaurus in ARK is exactly how science now depicts it, which they may not. But Accurate Spino V. T-Rex, T-Rex wins all the time.
I love the Spinosaurus, but I know it's beat.
I don't think it'd need to be stronger. In its habitat, the T-Rex cannot touch it. And in its habitat, it could be a true terror to behold.
Stronger =/= better ;)
Being a Boss monster - it couldn't rival a Dragon, so I doubt it'd be a Boss. Definitely tamable. But maybe not able to ride on...? Unless we could ride along the sides of the large spine it has, for like a two-seater.
In real life the predator that got in the first big bite would of won....in the movie that was T-Rex but in reality Spino wouldn't of been able to break free like it did in the movie because the bite force of the T-Rex would of broken its neck.
Now with the new evidence showing it was a possible quadruped on land its even less likely to of won a fight vs a land predator of similar size. Also the Spino isn't that much bigger than T-Rex, its longer but most of its height comes from its sail.
Based on the fossils T-Rex was also more intelligent, faster and more deadly, its arms weren't even that useless and could lift a lot of weight. There's also some evidence to suggest it might of hunted in packs or small family groups.
