How do i increase the quality in my things i make?

It says "Primitive" on the pick i make... i know the highest quality is called Assendence... anyone know how to increase it?

Dino loot appears to be fully random, because I've repeatedly gotten it on a 2-player server where we definitely haven't attacked the dinos in question beforehand.

Some larger dinosaurs have an inventory that is accessible when killed. That's also how you get the tribute items to summon bosses. I've gotten recipes from the guts of megalodons. Just remember to check inventory, before butchering them.

Only certain Dinos will have loot on them. When you kill them dont chop them up, see if you can access their inventory or else you they wont give you anything other than hides and meat. Higher quality stuff comes from Blueprints, Supply Drops, and Dino Drops. Primitive is lowest quality and is gray.

Primitive = Grey
Ramshackle = Green
Apprentice = Blue
Journeyman = Purple
Mastercraft = Yellow
Ascended = Red

They are quite rare though. and the stats from Primitive to Ramshackle are quite a good boost, same with every quality above, the difference in stats is high.

I got a number of basic resources from that, such as wood and stone and a few other things.

Not only the stats are higher, also the building materials, making them almost impossible to craft.

But yes, the only way to get something better than primitive with base stats is from drops. Either from dinos or crates. I found 3 apprentice blueprints, pike, chittin head and gloves. Also some scattered cloth/hide ramshackle armor pieces. Just keep on picking up beacons. In the wiki you have the possible loot for each colour

Check the wiki "beacon" and you will see the loot there. No way to enhance the quality of your crafting. With luck you will find a blueprint of a better version. When you kill a high level creature there are chances you get primitive/ramshackle amour pieces, check the stats. Not all primitive have the same stats, for instance, you can have a pant with 10 armor points and find a primitive fiber pant with 13. Numbers vary, always check the value

Low lvls most likely wont drop any blueprints, maybe some recipes (just berries and maybe ramshackle armor) and some other crap. The chance a dinosaur drops a blueprint for increased armor / tools / weapons is kinda low. I've only seen some scorpions / spiders and onycs drop it sporadicly and most of the time its ramshackle (green). Best chance imo is to hunt beacons, and do some caving cuz u will find most scorps / spiders / boa / onycs in there and the more there are the higher your drop chance. Also the small beacons inside caves could have some. Ive found a Journeyman (purple) crossbow and some apprentice saddles.
They probably could be dropped by giga or titan??

Ive only raiding Chitin cave myself so dont know about the drop chance in other caves.

In order:

1. - Primitive
2. - Ramshackle
3. - Apprentice
4. - Journeyman
5. - Mastercraft
6. - Ascendant
