Be careful, more than one will most likely kill you if you don't have a mount
I want to have a bunch of pet scoprions as well but every time I see one I don't have a ranged weapon like a sling shot. They are smart little basterds too, I have never gone up aginst one face to face first. They always come from behind................. clever girls.
They will find you.
Here is how to work the Death Island. Use a high end predator, because carnotaurus, T-Rex, raptors, argentavis, sabertooths, and scorpions mob the island. There are distinct areas of the island that seem to spawn differently, and you should be aware of them.. There is a small section off to the side nearest the coast of the main Ark island, we call 'Pit Stop Island,' because nothing seems to spawn on it. (It is a great place to re-stam flyers). The South half of the island spawns the normal selection of creatures. Nothing seems to spawn in the center of the island, and not much wanders up there. The Northwest half fo the island spawns normal numbers of creatures. The Northeast (or back of the island) seems to spawn normal numbes of creatures. 'Chaos Island' isa little isolated section in the back of Death Island that spawns tons of creatures, and is often the site of mob battles (ie. several types of dinos and creatures simultaneously in one big battle). The area closest to the main Ark Island spawns a few raptors occasionally.
Once you've cleared a spawn zone, nothing will respawn until you leave that zone. We often stay on the northwest side for a few minutes and then go hunt the south side of the island, or vice-a-versa. While we clear one side or the other, Chaos Island and the far coast seem to respawn. Hanging out in the middle of the island seems to supress all spawns but Chaos Island.
I've taken my T-Rex out there, and in a couple of hours tallied up around 300 chitin.
