Admin commands exist, yeah,
It is sad isn't it they are ruining the game and its not even 2 months old.
This wasnt an admin I know that for a fact.
People who hop into threads complaining about cheats or admin abuse to advertise their own server have never been the most reputable sort in my experience.
Just throwing that out there.
It's barely a week old xD
Eh, it'll be up to admins to ban people. Hacks cause terror in other games due to lack of dedicated servers and admin power :) That's why I hacked the crap out of MW2, to show Infinity Ward that they f'd up by turning the series into a console port cash grab.
and why hack in a survival game? the game it more fun if its challanging
Having just checked that site out, it is pretty damn sad. A huge monthly subscription to a tiny catalogue and the ark cheat looks strangely similar to a certain UE3 hack. I'm in the wrong line of work. D:
Well to be fair, the hacks weren't annoying things like aimbots, the hacks were admin tools to do things like...
-kick hackers from matches with console commands instead of letting them grief everyone
-let people vote on what map & mode to load next
-modify game rules for longer matches
-unlock the golden desert eagle because it was in game but not used
-run slowmo servers
I basically used tools published by someone with a funny username to unlock the console so the game could be run and managed like it should have been. The best part was definitely kicking people that were obviously hacking <3 and I also prevented certain other hacks because the tools used also forced me to be the host of the game and I could control other people's game settings.
I was banned before the aimbotters though. Valve f'd up there. Also the game totally died when those people discovered a way to make your client crash/disconnect if you tried to equip a shield to stop them from shooting you through the terrain :/
A game made by the team that brought us Starforge, not very good? Perish the thought.
