Taming! 2-3 hours to tame 20 seconds to die!

This is getting crazy spend all you time hours and hours taming stuff when they just die in 30 seconds! I literally spent 7 hours today taming ♥♥♥♥, and they just die. A croc literally spawned on top of me and killed my Pteranodon that took me an hour to tame he was at 99% and the croc spawned on top of him. I watched it appear. I feel like this is the biggest troll game ever! Packs of 10+ raptor swarm the beach! I have over 60 hours played and have ♥♥♥♥ all to show for it except a lvl 29. GRIND GRIND GRIND poof ANNNND ITS GONE! ♥♥♥♥ makes me rage like no other game!

not to mention the 15 levels I lost on a rollback on my server..

Its simple. Ignore dinos, acquire metal. THEN tame dinos

I've been working on single player on taming a small army of trikes, stegos, etc. Their ability to swarm things has deterred most problems thus far.

60 hours and only 29 ? you doing something wrong dude ... i go 38 in about 20 hours .. just ignore taming untill youre strong enough to defend it and gather the food first before you want to tame

Yah I have tried to tame once so far and failed. I don't think I will bother taming until I have guns and armor in which I can put a failed beast down in 2 hits or less. The taming process while difficult does not seem worth the time vs reward stage to me so far.
Needing 100's of units of meat or berries is unattainable at my current level and building storage capacity..of course I am only Lvl 11 or so..

That's because I spend all my damn Time taming Dinos only for them to die in 30 seconds. I lost 15 levels on a roll back I should be 45. Not to mention all the other level 15 toons lost to many servers.

If you tame a stego( Which takes 2 hours+) you get berries out the ass. You can get a stack of 20-25 Narcoberries with 1 click on the Stego. Having Dinos makes life easier if they can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fight back! I have them on neutral and they just die. Arnt they supposed to fight back?

Preaching to choir here man. I agree, what's the point if they die so easily. I have no idea what a tamed dino can do in terms or resource gathering. Are you saying Dinos can gather mass amounts of resources somehow? I had thought they wer only good for riding, defense and that you had to spend mass amounts of time feeding them as they can't feed themselves? No idea...I just know and agree taming is a PITA right now.

Yes that dinos can greatly improve gathering. Stegos and Trikes are AMAZING for gathering mass amounts of berrys with just 1 click. And others are good for traveling faster, flying, killing gathering meat and hide.
