Locked out of my own house?!

Last night our tribe was having a bug where once we logged out and back in, we lost control of all of our stuff. Even the name on all of our buildings changed. Reinviting to the tribe does nothing, as does making someone an admin.

Had a similar problem too. The ownership of one of our building's floors changed, but the walls remained mine - which for some reason I also *can't* interact with anyway.

Ended up abandoning it and rebuilding elsewhere.

That's super crappy. We have a tribe of over 25 people and everyone is locked out of their house >_<

Not to mention all of our pets are now red to us...

Same thing happened to me. Invited 2 friends to my tribe (I was only member at the time) and next thing we know my base and my 2 dinos belonged to some random person who a) wasn't in my tribe b) wasn't one of my friends and c) wasn't even logged on to the server at the time!

Needlesss to say, given the many hours of work invested into said base and dinos, I'm still super-pissed about losing that and having to start over.

I don't mind having to start over because of wipes, but having to start over because a glitch gave all my stuff to some random person? To hell with that.

Ah, here's what I roughly did that led to the problem. Might help the devs.Will mark the odd behaviors I encountered with asterisks.

- Made a new tribe using a new character in a PvE server.

- Build a few thatch foundations a short distance away from someone starting a similar construction; like, a minute or so of walking away (I shall refer to this other person as Guy A).

- Start putting in walls on my foundation. *** A few minutes later, got a notification that my "tribe member" Guy A (which wasn't in my Tribe Manager list, and had no interaction with
whatsoever) got killed. ***

- Ignored the message and continued building. Get invited to a friend's tribe. Accepted new tribe membership. *** After that, I could no longer place the rest of my walls on my foundation. ***

- *** Noticed that the foundation pieces are now owned by Guy A for some weird reason. ***

- *** The walls still show as owned by me, but I could not interact with them in any way. ***

- Abandoned it and placed a sign saying "This house is bugged :( "

Yeah my I feel you. I was just looking at my 3 raptors, trike, and Ptero =( I can't fly anymore.

The worst part is, is this seems to be a rare occurance, so probably no attention to it. =,(

Hmm. Looks like a bug that has something to do with tribe ownership. Do you remember what happened that led to your circumstance?

I remember someone talking about a guy dying, and that's the guy who owns our stuff, so that's similar. My tribe owns all the walls and stuff, but the guy owns the pets and boxes. The door still says tribe ownership but I'm unable to open or edit anything. I'm logging, as I don't feel like starting over right now lol. I'll check back and bump later. Good luck you guys!

Well it could be worse, like me... I got locked inside the building and the only way out leads to a bunch of raptors and carnies that want to eat me if I even look at them. That or jumping out of the tower to fall to my death.

Hopefully it'll be resolved soon.

yes thankfully I left all of my guys on passive, all locked in my house lol. I hope they don't starve before they fix it though =/

I had my own tribe, my fiance and I. We joined a larger tribe and as soon as we did we were locked out of our homes. The buildings belong to my original tribe with admin access only. We can't get into them, we can't ride our own dinos. The stuff apparently belonged to my tribe as opposed to belonging to me personally. It's a game breaker.

You should of made a new thread not a 1 year old one. But your problem is you joined the tribe you should of merged the tribes

First, I didn't make a year old thread. I'm playing on console, not pc
I'm not gonna make a brand new thread and get flamed for not searching the forums. Seriously dude. Not to mention when I googled it, THIS was the first link, idk If you know this "internet" thing works but just because YOU want to troll people about the age of the threads they are commenting on doesn't make any difference at all to the rest of the Web.
