Need tips on knocking out a parasaur!!
these guys run too fast for my slingshot to hit, and even I have enough stamina to chase, it will run endlessly when there is no terrain glitch. This always leads me to some dangerous area and die to other aggressive dino =_=

is there a better way to get these annoying parasaur ?

I tamed a dilo and their spit will slow down almost everything. You can then knock them out but you have to be fast at stopping your dilo or it will kill them. It's a good dino to run with, it saved me from a raptor attack too because of the slow spit.

Trap it in a corner and K.O it. You know, just like a regular friday/saturday night out :)

melee it with your bow

so I guess bow is the key, my movement speed is already 120 btw, can catch it up pretty easy

Bow 15 and Tranq Arrow 20... suggest something more appropriate to level 10 please. Common sense. Also, Raptors are bloody useless without a mount, they just fly back and forth like lag or get stuck on rocks all day. They shine once u have a mount for sure. Using a Parasaur lets u store meat and collect a lot of herbs. Getting 200% attack on Parasaur seems to give tons of berries, from 8-12, ive even had 5 Narcos in one bush. Plus you don't waste attacks getting Fibre when u need Narcotic.

If ya already have 1 para you can run in to it to clip it into ur para and just knock 'em out. I got a lvl 100 para down that way.

They have probably already figured out how, since you are responding to a post that was made over a year ago..

tame a pachy, using its charge attack it can increase torpor,

using this pachy tame a scorpion, scorpions also increase torpor,

once you've tamed a scorpion make it a saddle and ride it to the swamp and find a level 120/150 giant frog, tame that also for the same reason,

now that you have a 200ish frog that can torpor things you must find yourself a titanoboa, since you cannot tame these you must lure them out of the swamp across the entire map to your parasaur of choice,

i recommend picking a parasaur on an island like south/north tropical island so you get the fun additional step of luring it through the water, may also involve a raft

anyway after all this which should take you no more than 1 real life week, you should finally be ready to tame a parasaur, remember to kill the titanoboa after it knocks out the parasaur

hope this helps.

Nice necro... And just a fun fact, the bola did not exist in the game back when this thread was posted..

This method has worked for me in capturing Phiomia and Para when hunting. Try to find a rocky cliff or really tall boulders that form a corner or small bowl. If you can then run them into the small corner and put yourself right up against them. If it works right then they are trapped and you can sling shot them unconcious. Scout the area first though, you will be trapped if anything hungry stumbles across you.

They've kind of updated the AI a bit run off in a different direction,
