Compost not working

i had the thatch and poo in it for 3 ingame days now and nothing happens 100 thatch and Medium dino poo

it takes awhile i think its 5-7 ingame days to get it, it will work give it time

More poop, think its 2 poop at least for each fertilizer, and it is 50 thatch. Best idea is to get 100 thatch in there and fill the entire rest of slots with medium/large poops.

I know this will sound like a stupid question but is there at least 1 free spot left when you add everything in? If there isn't then there's the solution, if that's not the issue then all I can tell you is to break down the old compost bin and remake it. I had to remake mine three times before it seemed to work.

So nothing happens if you only have 1 medium poo in there ? can you mix and put small poo whit medium?

You can mix any of the poo just as long as there 2+ pieces. It's a wonky system.

maybe devs could add some small effect to it if it works lets say if it does work it gets closed? or other way around if its NOT working its closed and when you do things right it opens up. this way you dont need to guess if you are doing things wrong and then realize it like 5 hours later but rather check and know its going. in reality. just throw poop in there with maybe some plant parts and wait thats how it works. we dont need to think too much if we put there 2 handfuls too little plant parts for it to even start

Yeah oclosed lid when working would be perfect then it opens when ready to collect
