Playing with overseas friends

Before offloading $30+ dollars on a beta stage game, I want to know if the servers are region locked, ie I have to play on southeast asia/Australia server, or if I'm free to play with my USA friends?

If i play with them, will the lag be so bad that it's even more unplayable?

I believe you can play on whatever server you want as long as you have the IP or can find it in the server list.

There might not be serious latency lag, but you will see poor framerate until they optimise the game. I'd say keep your money for another month or at least until you see some optimisation in patch notes.

Some people are lucky enough to run the game on all medium and get around 30fps and that's with quite high end systems. If that's a gamble you want to take, go for it.

You should expect the same kind of "cross continental" lag that most FPS games have.
