Dino to harvest wood?
So me and my friends found out that para, stego trike and bronto are for berry picking, ankylo for stone but which dino helps farming wood?

Edit:I looked it up on some other forums, apparently Ankylosaurus is your dino of choice when farming Stone/Metal and Wood.

Do you have to do anything to get them to pick berries or just when you run through bushes?

You hit the bushes with them.

Mammoths can uproot whole trees as far as I know. Haven't tested it yet. You can find mammoths in the mountains.

Trike can farm wood/thatch just fine too.

You use the attack to get berries.

Tric can get wood but mostly gets thatch
do they do it faster/beter? I have hit a tree with my Para and it got me some wood/thatch (mainly thatch), but I hadn't tried on bushes.

SO yea, is it more efficient, or simply that you dont have to get off your mount?

yes faster but they get a lot less.
But what would it mean to get whole trees? a lot of wood? or is it a log item?

I believe Mammoth is the first Primary Wood Gatherer, followed by the Bronto. In the same way that the Trike can get one berry bush at a time and the stego can get a huge area, the mammoth will probaby uproot one tree where a Bronto will knock down a large area. Just my thoughts.

Nice, thanks! I was very curious about this. Oh, and what is the mammoths favorite food?

Not sure, since we have moved a good bit we havent gotten a secured farm up and running. I am sure some of the farmable crops wouldbe better. We normally use a stego to gather a large amount of berries and tame 1-6 things at one time. Bringing them close to our base so we can work on other things while we just let them eat away for a couple of hours, being sure to force some narcos down their throat occasionally.

From what I understand, irrigation is still broken, isnt it? it doesnt water my plants, just says "irrigated" and nothing grows.

Ahhh, havent tested it so I wouldn't know, thanks for the heads up. We got the irrigation going once and were going to plant something but moved shortly after. Do you know if people were using the fertilizer, if not that could be contributing factor.
Haven't tamed a bronto yet but so far you are better off just gathering by yourself. Dinos are too slow for the most part.

I had it fertilized, but it just says "irrigated : 0/100 water". Its a waste of engram points, unfortunately. but maybe they fixed it!
