Big necro there.

Spent 40 minutes taming a Trike and then watched as a hungry T-rex got closer and closer as it ate everything in its path. In the end I had to cut my losses, empty the trike's inventory and run, only to watch him get eaten by the Trex lol.. I feel ya!

Second attempt was succesful. Tamed a trike in just under an hour. spent close to 100 mejoberries, 8 narcotics AND lots of narcoberries (he had low health so I couldn't hit him)

There might be a better way of doing it - have seen some guides but haven't read them all yet :D
Getting a dilo next ;)

If you want to tame a medium herbivore like a trike, you really need a LOT of narcs and mejo berries. It took around 2 game days to tame a level 3 trike. If you're not walking in with 100 of each, you probably shouldn't waste the effort of spending 2 days straight speed-foraging.

We were forunate enough to find a trike pretty close to a forest filled with bushes, so we lured him in closer and tamed him amongst berries galore. Lit a fire next to him so we didn't lose sight and just farmed and filled. I initially had around 20 of both mejo's and narco's to put in him right away. It was pretty easy this way (as opposed to doing it on the beach the first time).

This trike was level 22 when we tamed him - I was level 14. And it took around 50 minutes to tame him too.
