Try and get enough to make an Iron Pickaxe by level 25.
With the iron Pickaxe you will get tons of iron from those rocks, and possible all other rocks too.
I got my Pickaxe last night, and farmed like 50 bars in less than an hour, just mining rocks in a river and around it. Not really that rare to be honest.
Got enough to make multiple Pickaxes, axes, the iron spear weapon, multiple compas etc. Honestly feels like cheating when you get the iron tools, everything yields so many materials much faster.
Woot, why do you hate me :(
quick note: If you use a pickaxe on a rock and it gives you flint, well, it won't have any metal. If you get all stone then that is a metal rock you just got unlucky. Note again I said pickaxe. Don't use a hatchet.
2. I never become only stone from a rock when i use pickaxe. So back to Number 1... No.
Perhaps it works in your region where you are but not everywhere.
