Help Getting stuck on server browser

I tried searching for a server that I played on yesterday by using the my survivors option however nothing turned up and I couldnt leave the page because the cancel button does not work, Now whenever I go monto the server browser it instantly searches for my survivors meaning I cant search for any servers...

I also am plagued by this bug and makes the game unplayable now as trying to join through friends via steam listed 74/70 players in a server. Also my server browser is stuck on the my survivors filter which infintely loops with no option to cancel search or change the server filter tab. I've even tried reinstalling the game which didnt help. This is an actual gamebreaking bug that needs the devs to be aware about for a fix.

I made another post about this and someone showed me that in steam if you select view and then go to servers then select ark you can find all the servers, It really helped me out but the devs do need to fix this bug hope this helps :)

Great, now I'm stuck in this too. Why isn't this fixed? it's a pretty big bug that almost locks you out of multiplayer

I encountered this problem as well but you can fix it by editing your user config files.

Go to your Ark game files and look for a folder called WindowsNoEditor. The file path is typically something along the lines of Steam\SteamApps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor. Open up the GameUserSettings.cfg. Look for the line LastServerSearchType. If you're stuck on the My Survivors filter it should be set to 2, change this to 1, so it looks like LastServerSearchType=1. Launch the game and the filter should be set on Unofficial servers now.

Thank you soooooo much, I couldn't find the answer to this problem anywhere and this just fixed it! :D

This is an intentional necro, because this is still an issue in Jan. 2016! It's a simple UX fix that has been ignored. Thanks for the .ini edit tip tho!

I have this same problem but I cant seem to find the files. I am using a macbook but its all i have. anyone know how I can fix this stupid issue?
