Jar works fine if you've got it. Any water container will do in fact.
Telling us what ingredients were triple checked might be helpful.
Needs wood or another fuel source, charcoal (probably the most common forgotten ingredient), the color choice (berries), and a full bottle or jar of water.
If I had to guess what you did wrong, I would say you tried making it in a campfire, as that is the only thing not specifically mentioned in the thread OP. Dyes and recipes need to be made in a cooking pot, not a campfire.
You need 2 charcoal and 1 bladder/jar + the correct amount of berries. I use stacks.
Also, Mejo don't make dye.
You can't, no recipe for it.
Btw in the latest Q&A they said they will add more dye colours in the upcoming weeks. Inclusing pink too!

The forrest is at least better than the original green. But I agree, I was crossing my fingers for a teal.
If they do do a teal, I hope it's darker. I find almost all colors are better if they are made in a darker variant, instead of the crazy vibrant ones you usually see.
