Pet commands? Please explain.
im trolling while at work, so forgive me for not bring able to experiment.

Besides the commands given directly from holding E on your pet, how do the whistles function? I noticed there were several different whistle buttons, but what do they each do? Do they affect every tamed dinosaur in range? Or, do you have to hover to give select commands? Can I form a little attack party, yet command several to stay behind and guard the base all via whistle commands? Or would I have to walk around and set the status of each Dino individually?

Any info in general in efficiently commanding your dinosaurs is much appreciated 8)

"t" is follow, "y" is stop following, "u" is all nearby follow, "j" is all nearby stop following. And thats that.

would be nice if they added in whistles to change agression stances.

I want to tame an army of Dodo's and be able to point at a target and see them dashing at my target. 25 dodo's vs a T-rex.

LET THE FEAST BEGIN MY MINIONS!!!!!!!1111oneone¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

Whistles have a range. I know that "U" makes all dinos near you stand still ... found out the hard way because I hit it instead of my inventory all the time. "J" makes all dinos follow. "T" and "Y" do the same thing but they target a specific dino (not sure how).

The AI still needs improvement and the pathing too. When you ride a pet and attack from its back you do triple dps compared to using the pet as companion unmounted.

There must be an option to set pets on "PVP agressive only" to prevent them running after Uber mobs and die.

Clarification for the whistle commands would be nice. Bumped.

You can set all pets to attack your target. Using a bow or sling Mark it and run

; - All dinos in range set to Passive
. - All dinos in range will attack the target in the dead center of the screen

@gillsminmow, very nice condensed command list.

And remember you can change the key bindings to something that you can easily remember and won't accidently press.

@leftharted. No. It is not common knowledge to new people that just bought the game.

I consider information you can See in the options Common Knowledge; as you can easily reference it yourself. Or just google/wiki it; but that's apparently asking too much. 8P

We are slowly becoming coddled like console gamers. 8/ Isnt it PC (IE, mouse/keyboard) gaming 101 to check the friggin keybinds/commands before you start?

huh, I guess ultimately you're right then..

lets call it Uncommon Knowledge. Should know & learn it; but don't. 8P

Also worth adding - The single dino commands can be extended with a spyglass. Whistle while focused on the dino in the spyglass and you'll call them from further out. Still has an upper limit where you can see them but not whistle, but it helps extend a bit. Especially handy for retrieving a flier up a cliff or on top of a structure.
