Cant Place Thatch Door: No Snap Point

I keep getting the above message when trying to p-lace a door in a door frame. am i missing something?

Placing doors can be tricky to get it to set to snap point in the door frame, can be wood or thatch frame does not matter.

Postioning your character a bit further away or off to one side or another can aide.

But it isn't broken, I placed some doors in frames just a few hours ago.

Thnx for the replies, folks! 1st off, seems you need the roof in place 1st or at least that worked in my case. Secondly by backing up as Uzi suggested, I realized my door icon was colored red and floating about 2 stories higher than my structure, where up tight I didn't even realize it was there. :P

I have this problem too, but i figured it out, face to where the door should place, step back, with first person view, and don't forget hold E to the door set pin code.

how can i cancel placing? i already dropped all the items. the item still trying to be placed...

If you used it from your inventory use it a second time to cancel. If you used the hotbar same thing use it again.

Thanks thats the answer I needed worked fine switching to 1st person when I placed it

btw if your using mods S+ doors can only be used on S+ doorways
